Re:    Tariff increases

Date:     May 13, 2025

Dear Valued Customer,

Effective May 14, 2025, I am pleased to announce that Floyd Bell Inc. will be suspending the application of our Tariff Recovery Fee. This move is in response to a temporary pause in U.S. Tariff Policy.

At Floyd Bell, we remain proudly committed to manufacturing 100% of our products in the United States. However, due to the specialized nature of some of our internal components — we occasionally rely on carefully sourced materials from global partners to maintain the high standards of quality, performance, and reliability that our customers expect.

The Tariff Recovery Fee was implemented as a temporary measure in response to significant international cost pressures. We recognize that this may have caused some inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigated those challenges.

We are grateful for your continued support and partnership. As always, our goal is to provide exceptional value and service, and we’re pleased to pass this savings back to our customers.

Sincerely,

Ray Hunter
President

Re: Tariff Increases

Dear Valued Customer,

For more than 50 years Floyd Bell has been providing the highest quality Piezo sounders in the world. Our company’s identity and commitment to our customers is “Made in America.” We have proudly resisted all industry initiatives to move electronics manufacturing out of our country and into the hands of foreign entities. This has enabled us to control and provide the highest quality products to our customers with unbeatable lead times and quality. It has also allowed us to provide innovation and customization that is otherwise unheard of in our industry.

Over the course of our 50 years in the industry, we have seen the components industry move most, if not all, production to other parts of the world. As an American manufacturer, we have had no choice but to import components that are no longer available from domestic sources. You have probably seen, read or heard people in our industry and the media call this the Global Supply Chain. Even though the bulk of our materials are domestically sourced, many key components are presently only available from countries where tariffs are increasing rapidly.

Today, we face rising costs of tariffs as a threat to our company’s well-being. At the beginning of this year, Floyd Bell was dedicated to keeping our customers’ costs down by absorbing the tariffs internally. As of the last round of tariff increases, Floyd Bell must begin to recover some portion of these costs. As such, our policy moving forward is to share the burden of these taxes / tariffs with our customers.

Effective 4/23/2025, an additional line item will be included on your invoice called Tariff Recovery. This line item will have the same quantity as your ordered items which will expose a per unit recovery charge. This charge will be based on our current cost of tariffs.

As the tariff situation is fluid, Floyd bell will be reviewing these recovery charges as we incur changes in our costs. This process will remain in effect until such time that the administration decides to reduce or remove the tariffs.

Floyd Bell appreciates your continued business and support as we do our best to navigate through this ever-changing situation.

Sincerely,

Ray Hunter
